From day one as Gov of AZ, Janet started putting AZ in the red. When I heard she was leaving to take the position at the WH, I said, DLTDHYOTWO, Janet, and good riddance!!

Wow, President Obama must have discovered time travel! I guess all that stimulus spending wasn't a waste after all.

"From day one" these people have learned how to cover for the One's incompetence. Not the rig explosion; his inauguration day.
Unlike the caller James T. had on his show last night... I believe history will show that BHO is the least-experienced, most-unknowledgeable president ever... at least in my lifetime.

I think it will be more like the Carter presidency, totally glossed over in history textbooks.

well, the biggest deal about the carter admin is that you had to wait in line for gas. it's not like the biggest attack on american soil since pearl harbor or 2 botched wars happened.
as for the current incident, the national guard was there like the day the explosion happened, right wing alternate reality aside... and that still neglects the fact that it's BP's job to clean this up.

Derek, by your logic then(or lack thereof), we certainly have the right to place this at the feet of BHO. There was even a plan in place to address this but there was no equipment in place to execute the plan.
http://blog.al.com/live/2010/05/fire_boom_oil_spill_raines.html
BHO should have recognized that this was the case and should have had the equipment purchased to prevent this incident from happening.
And the fact that the government had a plan in place further shows that it was understood who was to be responsible in the event an incident like this happened. Not the oil companies.
This just further shows the incompetence of this administration. From Day One.
Stop living in your self created fantasy world and join us in the real world.

Normally, I just read the posts, but I couldn't let one go by without a response.
Derek, you don't know history. You weren't around for the 13% inflation rate during the Carter Administration. You weren't around to see 20% interest rates on a new car loan. I was.
Carter was an abyssmal President. We are continuing to suffer for his policy failures in the Middle East to this day.
Carter is directly responsible for the rise of Islamic jihadism, stemming from his failure to support the Shah of Iran, and the subsequent Islamic revolution and hostage crisis. Jimmy Carter was a fool.

"And the fact that the government had a plan in place further shows that it was understood who was to be responsible in the event an incident like this happened. Not the oil companies."
I'm sure that's going to hold up in court for BP.
"Nevermind the fact we leased and operated the equipment, the government had a 15 year old blueprint!"

"Derek, you don't know history. You weren't around for the 13% inflation rate during the Carter Administration."
It's not like stagflation started in the Carter admin though. But i don't exactly see homer simpson/gerald ford get the wrath of history.

Ed, welcome to the conversation. I'm sorry you didn't know this but history started the day Derek was born.

"It's not like stagflation started in the Carter admin though. But i don't exactly see homer simpson/gerald ford get the wrath of history."
The rate of inflation when Ford left office was 7%. During the Carter Administration, it spiked at over 13%. Nearly double.

Ed is correct. President peanut's ineffectiveness with domestic economy and foreign policy has caused much of what has occurred recently.
Another ineffective and inexperienced president, BHO is making situations worse.
derek... whining about Republican leaders does not address the posted topic... your comments just make you feel important.

Thanks, J.T.
I've been following your stuff for over a year. I don't agree with everything, but I like the way you think.

Awwww. Nobody told the guy making "decisions". http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/05/somebody_tell_barry.html
Me thinks if Barry were around during minute-men days... he'd take more than 1-minute to get ready... more like 7 days... and keep on talkin'
BHO lovers wake up... you guys hired a do-nothing golfer. Or should I say goofer.
