I can't even imagine how hard that is. I thought it difficult to deal with my Mom's slip back into childishness, but I can't even imagine dimentia.


James, I am so happy to hear that he is safe.

Dementia of a loved one is one of the hardest things I have ever coped with in my adult life. Hang in there.



Sorry to hear about your fathers condition. Have you heard of St. Ann's center in Bay View. It's a great place and may be of some value for you. I think it's important for a spouse to be able to have some time for themselves in a situation like this. Often times the wife can do damage to herself taking care of her husband. Check it out.
