I'd like to hear what the farmer has to say about whatever his remarks were. If he said racist or demeaning things to her.. lets call him out too! I'd personally like to know what he said especially considering that fact that the farmers wife supposidly came out in her defence..there is something missing to this story.

Or... was this a gotcha moment by Breitbart? Did he have the entire video, and assume what the NAACP and WH would do in response?

I'll say the NAACP and white house screwed the pooch. But in all reality fox news and breitbart screwed this woman over the most. Just last night o dumbass reilly was calling for her resignation. Hell, look at the nonsense in this blog. But that's expected. The conservative media feedback loop is pretty well established. Conservative cranks say something, drudge gives it that damn siren, then fox news does 20 segments on it in one day. The game is the game.

It's the fact that the establishment left keeps falling for this nonsense that kills me. they don't know the nature of the beast. You got an obviously edited video released by a known liar... and the first thing they do is try to appease the conservative machine? They're idiots.

Now, I still don't want to let the media off the hook, because let's be serious here. An obviously edited internet video clip became national news on the leading 24 hour network... with no one even remotely thinking to fact check any of it.
Journalism doesn't exist anymore.

I mean seriously... the most important story of the day, hell, probably year, is the washington post Top Secret America series (which is saying a lot because i hate the post) but you won't see that anywhere. Instead the story of the day is essentially a damn youtube clip.

Fox never ran the story until after resignation... and after NAACP issued statement RE: support of resignation.

This story was never about Ms Sherrod... it was about NAACP and their attitude RE: treatment of white farmer shown by snickering response to the speech.

I'd say the quick call for resigning would fall under the category: "acting stupidly"... without full evidence.

Glenn Beck has a lot of good talking points, but, in this case, it is my opinion FOX would look a whole lot better if they would have had Beck spend 5 minutes on expressing genuine empathy and apologies for airing the edited tape, instead of 17:40 minutes on building a case to throw the blame on all involved.
