It took GWB almost six years to get to this level of job approval. SIX YEARS! Obama has managed to fall to this level of suckdom in 14 months.
Wow.
That’s a lot of hope changing to despair! This is not the change that moderates believed in but it is what can happen when you elect a man for the color of his skin instead of the content of his character or the wealth of his experience. There are plenty of HR managers and college recruiters that have witnessed this kind of epic failure...
It's the curse of the Affirmative Action promotion. When high expectations meet inexperience, when rules are changed and bars are lowered, mediocrity and failure ensue. The higher the position, the more epic the fail.
Advancement based on race just doesn't cut it.
The situation that the president finds himself in will not change. Joe Biden was right, "gasp", when he said, "The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training." If it is any consolation, I do not blame Obama for his failure, I blame the recruiters, I blame the American people. Obama should have never been put in this position, even if he wanted it. Community organizing does not prepare one to be commander-in-chief.
We see that now, right?
The question is this, how will the country survive three more years of a president that is ignoring the people, as he is on-the-job training?

four points
A) that chart doesn't show job approval. there is a separate rasmussen poll for job approval.
B) bush's turning point is 05 (see: schiavo, social security reform, and katrina), so i have to go with 4 years.
C) it's a bit hard to call this an obama turning point since his numbers are essentially flat since august
D) reagan was at like 35 percent approval by this time. what was he, affirmative action for the brain damaged?

Without 9/11 W's numbers would have crashed much sooner than they did.
"When high expectations meet inexperience, when rules are changed and bars are lowered, mediocrity and failure ensue. The higher the position, the more epic the fail."
This sums up 9/11 to a tee!

9/11, iraq, afghanistan, the list goes on.
asleep at the gate for the biggest attack on america in half a century

Agreed... except I'd modify the statement: "Advancement based on race just doesn't cut it." TO Advancement based solely on race just doesn't cut it!
Sometimes a helping hand up is no help if one is not allowed to learn from mistakes on the way to a higher position. A mistake is a learning moment... and that's how one gains experience.
Other questions to ask: Is BHO learning? Or has he closed his mind because he feels he's right everyone else is wrong? Therefore is he incapable of learning?
Derek. Questioning if any president could predict 9/11 attack is just plain dumb... unless of course you believe the almighty Gore could of used his AGW crystal ball to predict the attack???

gop goes through a period of questioning clinton's hunt for osama as some sort of distraction, then when in office, ignores all sorts of memos about al-qaida training pilots and looking at buildings in new york.
that doesn't strike me as implausible.

Joyce you have my undying admiration for actually reading the crap that gnat spews.
You are a better person than I am.
I stopped reading his crap weeks ago. But I love to read the people who respond to him!
My days with gnat are over.
He is useless and he even knows it.
But again thanks for always proving his points are juvenile and make no sense. :)

"If it is any consolation, I do not blame Obama for his failure, I blame the recruiters, I blame the American people."
Normally I am on the same page with the commentary on the topics that are posted on this site, but with this statement I couldn't have a more different veiwpoint.
I absolutely place a whole bunch of blame on odumbass himself for his failures. If he was not so arrogant and truly believed in Democracy instead of Socialism I might be inclined to give him somewhat of a break. But as it stands now, he will get no breaks or be given any passes from me!

"Moderate House Democrats facing potentially difficult re-elections this fall have a message for President Barack Obama: don’t call us, we’ll call you."
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34369.html
Although many excuses are mentioned by the Dems. the message remains the same.
Get it Karl and Derek?
