Rangel's personal finances read like those of a corruption clearing house:
*use of a rent-stabilized apartment.
*fund-raising on behalf of a research institute bearing his name. (Nice!)
*failure to declare hundreds of thousands of dollars in income and assets on annual financial-disclosure reports.
But so what? This persecution by the House ethics committee is outrageous!
Rangel is a Democrat and he is a light-skinned Negro who speaks in a raspy Negro dialect--sort of. This is nothing more then a high-tech lynching of an uppity black man, who sits on the powerful Ways and Means Committee. Again, when did Democrats start caring about ethics, experience and character? Why are Democrats all of a sudden acting like Republicans?
