Ethically Unfit?

So what if Charlie Rangel improperly used corporate-sponsored trips to the Caribbean and is ethically unfit to lead the party. He's black and a Democrat... Back off! 

Democrats would never do this to a Kennedy.

NEVER!

Rangel's personal finances read like those of a corruption clearing house:

*use of a rent-stabilized apartment.

*fund-raising on behalf of a research institute bearing his name. (Nice!)

*failure to declare hundreds of thousands of dollars in income and assets on annual financial-disclosure reports.

But so what? This persecution by the House ethics committee is outrageous! 

Rangel is a Democrat and he is a light-skinned Negro who speaks in a raspy Negro dialect--sort of. This is nothing more then a high-tech lynching of an uppity black man, who sits on the powerful Ways and Means Committee. Again, when did Democrats start caring about ethics, experience and character? Why are Democrats all of a sudden acting like Republicans?

Democrats would never do this to a Clinton.

NEVER!

Two Black Democrats disgraced in two days?

Gov. Paterson has pulled the plug on his election bid. The NY Daily News is reporting that the governor has agreed not to seek election, but he will not resign - opting to serve out the remainder of his term.
