I am convinced the push by the usual suspects to get the show to say Burt and Ernie were gay (which was not specified or speculated about on the show) are at least in part responsible for the show's departure. There always has to be an agenda apparently and I don't know why they even felt it was necessary to go there with respect to marriage, a concept I seriously doubt their target demographic could fully appreciate anyway. Let's ruin innocence as soon as we can! What a shame.

Dan, I watched a lot of Sesame Street in my time and that is the most awkward thing I've ever seen on it or any other classic kids show.
