Not to discourage the Republican group, but I think the message would better represent MLK if it said he was a Conservative. He was a man with principles and values that do not reflect today's Democrat party, or BO's remade party.
One need only review his speeches to know he was not someone who would be part of the leftist Democrat party of today. Nor would he be trying to get face time in front of the cameras like Jesse or Al; working to keep Americans of African descent down.

I think most Republicans believe in the people (what ever their ancestry is) and their abilities to succeed on their own. I think most Democrats think the only way people can succeed is through Government help, otherwise we are all just helpless.
Joyce is correct, the tactic should of been that MLK was a conservative. It would of been harder to argue that point.

When MLK was a republican,
most Blacks also was republican, because at that time Most white racy was demos and member of the
kkk now it the oppsite, all the good ole boys move to the republican party and
the blacks left a few stayed like JT who don't know the history of voting patterns.
