I don't understand the reference to Biden.
Without this ponzi scheme there is no capitalism. Are you saying you don't like this little ponzi system the overclass has created for us drones?
That is awful socialist and not very republican of you.
Posted by: Davidb | July 17, 2009 at 07:12 AM
Davidb, remember Red pill, blue pill? This isn't the first time we had this discussion.
Posted by: James T. | July 17, 2009 at 07:29 AM
davidb speak for yourself. Yes you are a drone to bo and his anti-American policy's.
The only joy I will have if bo's fascist agenda succeeds will be the look on all of you "drone lunatic libs acorn losers" faces when you see you are just as screwed as the rest of us.
The laughter from us will be deafening.
You can't even come on this site and defend anything about the evil bo.
You and the others are "mia." Cat got your tongue? Is acorn telling you to lay low?
Yeah, You'll be screwed just like everyone else.

Maddie settle.... It's too early in the morning for you to go off on a rant like this. I can't even understand what you are talking about...... Have a cup of coffee or something.
Blinded by your ignorance and anger you forget that I don't support BO. I think he is an empty suit just like you. You are a sick individual if you take pleasure in seeing this country fall apart.
I do remember red pill blue pill. I just think it is hypocritical for you to speak so highly of free market capitalism and dergulation and then make a post like this exposing the entire system for the ponzi scheme that it is.
Posted by: Davidb | July 17, 2009 at 08:19 AM
bo is just another drone, or rather puppet put in place the those at the top of the ponzi pinnacle. The mortgage industry was ripe for a collapse, the monied powerful engineered the downfall to coincide just prior to the 08 election. And, the sheeple bought it, including McCain who rushed back to DC to "fix" the problem.
Now the powerful have 2 idiots in place who they can manipulate to remake the country... and our economic system. It's a win-win for them... and we the people lose big time... our $$$, livelihoods, freedom... and America crumbles. That is what they want... look it up NEW WORLD ORDER.
As for Biden, he's just being Joe... and is about as useful as a $3 bill.
Posted by: Joyce | July 17, 2009 at 08:38 AM
davidb, you are not a conservative. As you twist my words and call me sick and say I would take pleasure in seeing my Country fail, you totally expose who you really are.
You read my posts and know damn well I am a true patriot and I love America.
You are a pretender. I take nothing back.
You need to call my post a rant to make yourself look better.
I don't know what your agenda is but it doesn't mesh with mine. I have no time or use for you.
Posted by: maddypie2 | July 17, 2009 at 08:50 AM
"hypocritical for you to speak so highly of free market capitalism and dergulation"
davidb, you been putting words in my mouth again... you shouldn't do that. A currency based on "faith" isn't capitalism, it's fraud. Just because you can't tell the difference between the two doesn't mean that I'm a hypocrite.
Posted by: James T. | July 17, 2009 at 08:51 AM
James a hypocrite?
It's barely been 7 months since the 'annoited one' took office. Things are already pretty much close to beyond repair. And, we're supposed to 'give him time'?
Spend money to keep from going bankrupt- smoke and mirrors.
Gold is looking better all the time. I Haven't converted any money to it yet, .....yet.

y'all need soem common sense, and there is definitely some truth in what DavidB said here. Some of the very concerns posited in this video are the same ones lefty neo-socialists have. Its not that I agree with him, I think he simplified it a bit much, the system we have and use now, the hybrid free market-controlled market we all participate in is in certain ways like a ponzi scheme. I don't think a truly free market system would be, but a free market system won't happen until disaster strikes, and the trail of government and power broker interference with the free market are exposed, if ever they are.

Maddie I never said I was a conservative. One does not have to be conservative to see through Barack Obama. See Joyce's post. She is dead on.(other than I don't think things would be any better with McCain either).
I don't have an agenda other than killing time and having a little amusement. If you have no time or use for me then why did you comment with such a disjoined and fragmented rant that had nothing to do with my comments??? Your sole purpose on this board is to cause trouble and lash out any anything liberal.
Perhaps nobody comes to this board anymore with a different opinion because they don't want to listen to your rants and raves?
JT I am not trying to put words in your mouth. I am just trying to understand the point you were trying to make with this topic. My contention is that without faith based currency there is no capitalism. I just had a long lesson from my wife who is almost done with her MBA on US money supply policy, banking finance, and the time value of money. It sure seems to me that the entire system is based on Fraud because it is based on faith based currency.
Tell me how do you have capitalism without our current money policy and currency system?
I'm just exploring the rabbit hole here. I'm not trying to argue anything or make any points.
Posted by: Davidb | July 17, 2009 at 10:24 AM
davidb, You have every right to your opinion as I have to mine. If you see me as a ranting disjointed trouble maker that also is your opinion.
If I am keeping people from coming to this site I am afraid you are "feeling" a little too sensivtive like the libs.
And I believe you give me way too much credit.
I am sure if I am bring down the "spice of conversation" or the integrity of this site, James will email me and ask me to lighten up or take me off the site.
It is up to him and until then I will be here.
You don't have to read my posts and though I will read yours as I do every one's I will keep my opinion on what you say to myself. I don't want to upset your "feelings."
Posted by: maddypie2 | July 17, 2009 at 10:41 AM
its not cause im "sensitive like the libs". Your post again is just another attempt to try to get a negative emotional response out of someone. You didn't even express an opinion on what I wrote. Maybe it is because you didn't understand my comments but what you wrote had absolutely nothing to do with my comment. It was out of left field and ridiculous. I couldn't even figure out what you were trying to say....(queue bashing comment about my lack of intelligence being the problem)
This CRACKS me up, "I am sure if I am bring down the "spice of conversation" or the integrity of this site, James will email me and ask me to lighten up or take me off the site."
It's like saying Rush will police the crazies on his radio show.
Rant on Maddie. I've got stuff to do. Perhaps Derek will show up and give you a chance to rant and rave s'more. So much for trying to start an intelligent discussion regarding monetary policy and currency. Congrats on yet another conversation derail derail Maddie! Your the best troll over! :)
Posted by: Davidb | July 17, 2009 at 11:11 AM
Maddie! Your the best troll over! :)
Coming from a paid acorn nut my being called a troll is just a diversion.
There are many people on this site that you can have a legitimate conversation with if that is really what you are looking for.
Your a big cop out and blaming me is so transparent.
You are acting like a child, I'm just ruining your fun and your chance to make an honest opinion.
Bye davidb, see you when you grow up.

davidb,
Check out the original video. Capitalism existed before the US Treasury. I am almost positive that we have discussed this before. I believe in capitalism, but as stated before, the system has been hijacked and now the day of reckoning is upon us.
B.O. Biden and company are agents of the Feds. That's why Biden says "We Have to Go Spend Money to Keep From Going Bankrupt"
They believe in the system that this post illustrates. That's why Biden is is right (blue pill). I say let it crash (red pill). In the aftermath, hopefully money will be based on something valuable, gold, sticks. beeds, whatever.

I'm acting like a child?????
Seriously???
If I had children and they behaved like you I would ground them.

Wise men never argue with fools, because people from a distance can't tell who is who.
Posted by: Patrick Austin | July 17, 2009 at 12:10 PM
Capitalism did exist before this current hybrid system. In high school we leanred that our systems are hybrids, not fully capitalistic at least not in the free market terms. Yours stopped being truly free market I think around the 1930's, and ours in Canada never was. the current system is not a quote unquote capitalist system. it is a mixed economy with government controls.
One could make the argument that the current system is failing because of its capitalist nature. I disagree, I think the government interventions have a more direct link to some of the problems faced in the past and the current one today.
Posted by: LegioNofZioN | July 17, 2009 at 12:13 PM
and for the record James, I agree completely
Posted by: LegioNofZioN | July 17, 2009 at 12:16 PM
Son of a..... And now today we find out that JP Morgan and Goldman Sacks(which are in debt to the govt and taxpayers for billions) are bailing out CITI group???? How does a bailed out bank bail out another bank? Nice little way for the government to pretend that the system is getting fixed by making it look like private capital is bailing out CITI.
It's a scam. We are all being robbed blind by the republicans and democrats in power. 2 sides of the same coin.

I suggest everyone here to read up on Game Theory. A clear understanding in this and the application to the real world (especially health care) would make things much more clear. Methods taken to approach a set of rules (including exploitation) and the application to real world set of choices make this an attractive theory to understand.
Posted by: Happenstance | July 17, 2009 at 01:24 PM
DavidB you and I can agree on that. It is robbery and it does come from both sides.
Posted by: LegioNofZioN | July 17, 2009 at 01:26 PM
Is Davidb the new Derek? Where is Derek?
Posted by: nosredna2 | July 17, 2009 at 02:27 PM
I've been here longer than Derek. I'm just not as socialist and not as long winded :)
PS Goldman is the Devil. Op Ed on how the insanity continues:

DavidB I will also acknowledge that you are more reaosnable than Derek. We disagree on issues but you make your points with more tact and fact than he tends to.
