What's with the rise in anti-Semitism over the last six months? We have a white supremacist gunman open firing and killing a guard at the Holocaust museum, the President ignoring Israel while canoodling with the Muslim world, and now this: the re-emergence of the good(?) Reverend Wright.
That's right. The good racist Reverend Wright is back! And the hate parade is once again on full display!
"Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing (by) the Zionist is a sin and a crime against humanity, and they don't want Barack talking like that because that's anti-Israel," Wright said.
Must I state the obvious? Where did Obama glean his anti-Israel views? From his spiritual father. HELLO?
"He made mistakes. He made bad choices. I've got kids who listen to their friends. He listened to those around him. I did not disown him."
GASP! "He listened to those around him." Hummm, that sounds familiar! You mean he listened to "those" shady people surrounding him?

Israel showed they don't know what they were doing when they lost a war to hezbollah, got Hamas elected and pursued a war in Gaza that did nothing more than cause an international outcry and provide cover for Hamas to execute members of the other party.
The idea that we should listen to them is about as crazy as the idea that we should listen to the Bush admin on foreign policy.

I mean anti israel? Is it too much to ask that you guys actually engage policy rather then rhetoric for once? We are THIS CLOSE to deposing Ahmadenijad in Iran, already managed to stop Hezbollah from taking power in Lebanon and you guys seriously want to whine about Israel's feelings.
Come on.

Are we really sure that Obama is not a secret Muslim; What was called a "sleeper agent" at one time?

Aren't you late to a militia meeting.

OH NO -- THERE'S A RUN ON HAT GRADE TINFOIL

As I predicted when he threw 'the good Reverend' under the bus, just wait until a couple months after he's sworn in and you'll start to see Jeremiah and Bo back together again.
No one sits in a pew for twenty years with a man who spews such hatred and never catches a whiff of it. No one walks away from a relationship as close as theirs after twenty years and the parties never seen together again.
I called bullshit way back when. Vindication is mine!
Jeremiah Wright will marry the Obama daughters. Mark my words.

Marry them off I mean.
Right before William Ayers bombs any college that doesn't accept their applications.

"We are THIS CLOSE to deposing Ahmadenijad in Iran, already managed to stop Hezbollah from taking power in Lebanon and you guys seriously want to whine about Israel's feelings.

Quoting myself there...
Well I was wrong, it isn't just Ahmadinijad they are trying to depose, it's the whole system.
http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/archives/2009/06/iran_there_will/
"My contact predicted serious violence at the highest levels. He said that Ahmadinejad is now genuinely scared of Iranian society and of Mousavi and Rafsanjani. The level of tension between them has gone beyond civil limits -- and my contact said that Ahmadinejad will try to have them imprisoned and killed.
Likewise, he said, Rafsanjani, Khatami, and Mousavi know this -- and thus are using all of the instruments at their control within Iran's government apparatus to fight back -- but given Khamenei's embrace of Ahmadinejad's actions in the election and victory, there is no recourse but to try and remove Khamenei. Some suggest that Rafsanjani will count votes to see if there is a way to formally dislodge Khamenei -- but this source I met said that all of these political giants have resources at their disposal to "do away with" those that get in the way.
He predicted that the so-called reformist camp -- who are not exactly humanists in the Western liberal sense -- may try and animate efforts to decapitate the regime and "do away with" Ahmadinejad and even the Supreme Leader himself."
big things going on in the world. you wouldn't know it if you watched CNN or Fox News. But I've been following this all night.
Great link:

You know, if it's one thing you conservatives might have right about liberals (or maybe it's just me), it's the romanticization of and emotional connection with revolution. Don't own any Che shirts, but I love these pictures:

The first picture in this one is great:

Are you so narcissistic to think that what happens in Iran has no bearing on us? Iran's nuke program? Their support of Hezbollah? Their influence in Iraq and Afghanistan?
Seriously? I mean it's no wonder that you people can't get anything right.
Posted by: Derek | June 14, 2009 at 05:12 AM
I mean let's break it down. Obviously their nuke program and Ahmadinijad's rhetoric make war with israel and iran likely.
Their support of hezbollah oppresses lebanon and provides a base of support for terrorism against israel.
Iran's influence in Iraq lessons our influence. And iran can be very helpful in dealing with the taliban (in fact they helped use at the beginning of the war).
This could be the domino for middle east peace, who knows. Maybe it just ends up being the tipping point that weakens iran enough where they have to work with us.
But to act like it isn't a big deal? That's just stupid. To act like it's not the biggest thing going on in the world right now? Just as stupid. Might as well have said "it's just the berlin wall, who cares"

One more thing, the NK thing. NK made a threat.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/north-korea-would-use-nuclear-weapons-in-a-merciless-offensive-1700590.html
"North Korea today said it would use nuclear weapons in a "merciless offensive" if provoked — its latest bellicose rhetoric apparently aimed at deterring any international punishment for its recent atomic test blast. "
Security council called the bluff
http://english.cctv.com/20090613/101362.shtml
"This resolution condemns North Korea's nuclear test in the strongest terms. It strengthens and enhances sanctions on North Korea in five critically important areas.
The measures include reducing financial ties and expanding an arms embargo against Pyongyang. The resolution also authorizes UN member states to inspect DPRK's sea, air, and land cargo carrying suspect material."
NK can make all the threats they want. Kimmy isn't in a position of power. Especially not with China siding with the US and UK. And there's no way NK will make a move without being backed by China.
The difference with iran is that there is no counter balance like that. The government of Iran's sole legitimacy seems to stem from opposition to Israel and America (which is what made bush's grandstanding so infuriating to me). The prospect of peaceful relations with America (cue dumbass whining about appeasement) pokes a gigantic hole in all of that. Which is why we see what we see now.
Posted by: Derek | June 14, 2009 at 06:11 AM
When mentally unbalanced people who have nuclear bombs get really pissed off
you can not predict what they will do.
The sanctions aren't going to be a threat to people who feel they finally wield the same power as others have.
bo needs iran to follow his agenda.
north korea is hell bent on telling bo to stick it where the sun don't shine.
I don't really care which one you "feel" is more important.
Nobody cares which one you think is more important.
You do see the Right?
