Black, Gay -- What's the Difference?

An insider in state government told me a story that reveals the inner mechanics of truly twisted liberal thinking. According to my source, Mayor Barrett was meeting recently with the State Senate and State Assembly's Milwaukee delegation. All Democrats, all lefties but some well-meaning public servants in the lot, to be sure. Am I being too charitable? Senators Taylor was there and Coggs. Reps like Fields, Grigsby, Colon, etc.

Mayor Barrett took this opportunity to introduce one of his new state lobbyists, from the city's Intergovernmental Relations Department… I know, I know, the bowels of bureaucracy, but stick with me… it gets juicy! Apparently, there was an exchange that went something like this:

Mayor Barrett: "I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to one of our new lobbyists. Here is ______. He's a good guy."

Sen. Lena Taylor: "Well, welcome to the team. Mayor Barrett, I have to say that it would have been nice to have an African-American on your team." (Clear racial identity politics from a lefty, but it gets better -- or worse.)

Mayor Barrett: "It's funny that you say that, Lena, because on the way over here, I noted that I was the only straight one in the car."

**crickets chirping**

Sen. Taylor: "That's a little too much information, Mayor. I'm not talking about sexual preference -- I'm talking about ethnicity. There's a difference."

Now, let this sink in for a minute. Taylor asks why there is no African-American on his team. Barrett replies that, in fact, they do have someone who is gay.

Huh? What happens when “politically correct” meets “racist?”  Holy diversity nightmare, Batman!  Isn’t there an awareness course for this?

It's not too hard to deconstruct the liberal logic, but the stupidity is almost breathtaking. Hardcore Dems don't see individuals -- they see minority groups. They see special interest opportunities. It's the way they’re hardwired . . . the way lefties have been brainwashed. Don't have an American of African descent? Well, find someone gay! Don't have a homosexual? Try to get a midget. Do we have anyone in a wheelchair? Anyone transgendered? A Hispanic? An elderly white guy with a bad bladder? How about a one-eyed, left-handed lesbian of African descent with one leg?

The Mayor would love that! That’s a three-fer!

EVERYTHING is based on superficial identity labels when it comes to liberal ideology. In this scenario, political correctness trumped race in the mind of the mayor. In Lena Taylor’s mind, race trumps everything! Which lefty is right? Who has the voice of reason?

I do . . . for pointing out the stupidity of liberalism altogether.

Stupid Is As Stupid Does: Mayor Dean Grose

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (AP) — "The mayor of a small Southern California city says he will resign after being criticized for sharing an e-mail picture depicting the White House lawn planted with watermelons under the title "No Easter egg hunt this year." 

Local businesswoman and city volunteer, Keyanus Price, an American of African descent who received the email says:

“I have had plenty of my share of chicken and watermelon and all those kinds of jokes.  I honestly don’t even understand where he was coming from, sending this to me. As a black person receiving something like this from the city-freakin’-mayor - come on.”

Mayor Dean Grose responded in an email to the AP:

“Bottom line is, we laugh at things and I didn’t see this in the same light that she did.  I’m sorry. It wasn’t sent to offend her personally - or anyone - from the standpoint of the African-American race.”

Oh really?

Just think, if Rev. Al and the church of the poisoned mind hadn't wasted what was left of their rancid moral authority, they could have crucified this foolish, foolish man. On second thought, how much money could they shake out of one small town mayor?

OK, by a show of hands, how many of you are offended by the White House Watermelon patch??

Bobby Jindal's performance was bad enough. Never knowing when to leave well enough alone, Joe Biden and the Obama administration tried to pile on.

"But what I don't understand from Governor Jindal is what would he do? In Louisiana, there's 400 people a day losing their jobs. What's he doing?"

Oops! Looks like Joe stepped in it again! Well, "Nothing, Joe, because Louisiana isn't losing 400 jobs a day."
