    Good Evening Mr. Harris,

I must say you have caused some controversy for yourself. I can tell you try to represent what you believe all African Americans should be, educated, well spoken and a free thinker. However, your comments last week show one other side of you that you may want to consider, one who thinks he is better than the average black man and is dealing in SELF HATE. I can find no other explanation for your absolutely ridiculous comments. You knowing full well the struggle that our, I'm careful to say OUR with you, ancestors and leaders had to fight to get us to this historic point, where a qualified Harvard educated African American Senator from Illinois is now just an earshot from the Presidency. You my friend show the world the meaning of true Black hate and White Americans celebrate you for it. What do I mean by Black Hate? It is when a qualified African American achieves something that others in our community have not achieved instead of celebrating his or her accomplishments we look for ways to tear he or she down. That's what I heard from your comments. The things you mentioned, have all been explained by Senator Obama, I didn't hear you ask Gov. Palin to explain her problems in Alaska or Sen. McCain's dealings with Mr. Keating in the S & L scandal? you obviously take what THEY say about those controversies at face value. Why not give Senator Obama the benefit of the doubt? I know why BLACK HATE! Until we as African Americans who have gained some status in this society (radio talk show host) you, (business owner) me, reach back and help others of us who are doing well, we will continue to see our community struggle more than any other community. Mr. Harris, I'm sorry but I feel you deserve every negative comment you have received for your comments. You would do well to remember the old adage, if you don't have anything good to say don't say nothing at all. I have heard some Black Republicans say that for this history making opportunity and the hope this election will usher into our community, they will be voting for Sen. Obama. I understand their feelings, you see I too am a conservative who voted twice for President Bush. But when I see the negative statistics effecting our community. When I sense the hopelessness that many African American young men and women have, in my prayers to the Lord I feel this is the right man for the right time in our history. If this were Jesse or Al or some of the other so called Black leaders you would not be receiving this note, this my friend is different. And I'm sorry it seems to late for you to see that. Lastly, the end of this campaign should be about what the candidates will do to get us out of this mess, not dangerous, speculative, and slanderous attacks that leave all of us abused and divided.

    Dan

Bill Sanders - did you ever stop to think that Mr. Harris made his statements because he doesn't look at color of skin when viewing this election. WAKE UP people, the run for the presidency isn't about the color of your skin but about ability to run this country properly.

    Alesia Richmond

Why would you sale your soul for a penny? What does it profit a man to gain fortune and fame and at the end of his life he is just a tired old man.

    William Sanders

    Dan,
Are you sleeping in a time cacoon, McCain and Palin rallies are filled hate mongers who won't vote for Obama just because he is Black. I'm not asking anyone to vote just because of his race, but if you read all of what I said it is because he is QUALIFIED. You can't tell me he is not smarter than W.
    DAN YOU WAKE UP!

    Heather

"McCain and Palin rallies are filled hate mongers who won't vote for Obama just because he is Black"

Clearly you've never been to one, so I want to know--who told you that?

    Al Reid

    James,
Do you think we believe that black folk are threatening you? Man, you've been dismissed. No black man in his right mind would waste his time or ruin his life plotting to harm you. I saw you smiling on Fox, O.K. you got your 15 minutes of fame, now get ready for a lifetime of loneliness.

    Steve

Your just sad. Your 15min of fame is about up.

    Bree

Bravo to you James for standing up for what YOU believe in without intimidation, and for fighting the good fight. You are entitled to voice your opinion just as loudly as the Obama supporters voice theirs. Never let the hateful, jealous people in this community keep you down.

    Karen

I think James T. Harris said what alot of people think!!! We need more people to speek out like him. The people that talk trash and hate and throw out death threats are just too stupid to understand what is really going on. I applaud you. Thanks

    Maddie - Saukville

I love you as my brother in Christ. I love you as my fellow American. Whatever either of us are after that matters little.

    John

    Mr. Harris,

I continue to read comments you reciev and am amazed at the number of people that believe a Harvard education = character and a predictor of success as president of the U.S. While I don't know for sure, I am fairly certain that many of the men and women on Wall Street, in the Senate and Congress, Democrat or Republican, probably have outstanding academic credentials - Is President Bush, Senator McCain, or Senator Obama individually responsible for the current condition of the US economy? Wouldn't it make more sense for our political leaders to clearly define and detail their solutions in a way that the average American can understand, then make his or her decision as to which candidate or party represents societies best option for CHANGE. Racism and mud slingly won't provide the best option.

I happen to be white, a baby boomer with a very traditional upbringing. However, one of the men I hold in very high regard is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Thank you, Mr. Harris for taking racism out of the equation. My hope for our country is that more people of all color will look beyond the color of one's skin to find future leaders at all level's of society and office.

    Terri

What I see in many of the comments here used to be called reverse racism. I think we can drop the word reverse after this political campaign.

Democrats, and Obama supporters, have established a higher than ever level of racism, black against white, and against any black who dares to think for himself.

James T. is speaking out based on his convictions and not on the color of his skin. And this old white woman applauds him for being an American first, not a Black, not a White, an American who loves his country.

    Country First!

    William Sanders

To Bree, John, Heather and the like,

As a former conservative, you want to look at a race free society only as it benefits your race. Tell me when you look at the overwhelming statistics effecting Black people in America does your heart bleed for change? If so tell me you support affirmative action which did not assure unqualified people the opportunity to work over qualified whites, but that Blacks would not be denied an opportunity based on race. Please don't discount the 400 years of free labor your ancestors utilized to amass great wealth which was not shared. Are you supportive of healthcare for all? where there is a dispraportianate level of care given to the African American community. Are you supportive of vouchers for schools where many minority students currently don't receive the quality of education given to the majority population. I sense your only concern is to keep the status quo as it is. Truly show me this is a color blind society by voting for an qualified candidate who represents something different than the failed conservative policies of the last 8 years that have left many americans both black, brown and white suffering. When I see that Sen. Obama has been elected it will be the first sign that maybe just maybe we are moving closer to the color blind society that Dr. King dreamed of. So I beg of you Say NO to the status quo, vote for OBAMA!

    Rick Sanchez

James, good commentary on CNN this afternoon. From my point of view, the people who say things like "Barack Obama is an Arab", or "Kill him" or "traitor" are simply ignorant and don't even deserve a response. On the other side, the people calling you an "Uncle Tom" are equally as ignorant. If people can't have an honest debate about issues, they really should just put on their tin foil hats and talk to the TV.

Personally, I can't see how a true conservative could still stay in the Republican party as they seem to be even more foolish with the economy than Democrats. They start a war and grow government and cut taxes. They don't ask people to conserve and sacrifice in a time of war, they tell us to go shopping. They don't secure the borders of our own country, they run up unbelievable trade deficits and have sold our country to countries who want to destroy us. They don't conserve our resources and have done everything possible to prevent the scientific and economic growth we need to survive in the new century and instead insist on prolonging the dead end of an oil based economy.

We need new ideas, not just rehashing old ideas. We need dreams and a vision of the future..not a return of the past.

While the democrats seem to be moving towards embracing some of the common sense aspects of fiscal conservatism, Republicans seem to want to embrace corporate socialism and the economic theories of the free market economy that have obviously failed in the last 7 years.

Obama may be a dreamer, but he's a very intelligent dreamer, who seems to learn very quickly, has some extremely competent and brilliant visionaries who stand with him and I believe is by far the best chance we have to return this country to an economic, ethical and moral leader in the next century.

    Ursula

Wow. You're really proud of that little McCain rally clip, aren't you? I guess the only reason you didn't get on your knees to beg is that you might not have been in view of the cameras. "I's takin' a ass-whuppin' fa ya massah daddy!" But your reward of a pat on the head made it all worth it, huh? You weak-chinned Uncle Ruckus butt leech.

    RMG

I just happen to see your clip on CNN and personally I had hope they were done with your tired as but what I did hear after Don Lemn asked certain question I heard your hatred I heard your bitterness now tell me this Mr American of African dissent conservative. What was the hate about? A person in your position shouldn't be angry, what's it all about. Sure you don't have any regrets, and you shouldn't why don't you just tell the truth and let us all know how much you got paid? Surely you don't anyone believes a individual such as yourself subjected yourself to all of this without getting paid, was it worth it. Is it enough to take care of your family and keep your lil spot on the AM radio, the audacity for you to ask for prayer please, what do you need pray for perhaps you should have asked for redemption for being the JERK that you are what I did find out is that your one of the Hatest American men of African dissent. You don't deserve the title of African American. And to think that people just as small minded as you are giving you credit for speaking your mind. One more thing most men of stature doesn't usualll where 2 earrings in there ear, amongst your white folk that's known as THUG you're still a nigga to them and will always be. And please Don't you ever speak Martin Luther Kings name again, he would be turning over in his grave to hear such despicable words come out of your mouth, once again how much did you get paid, please take the money and go away disappear, Poof like a cloud of smoke you don't exist anymore. And please to all of the like minded people that are reading these words let's quit wasting our time with this LOSER!!!!!!!

    LT

    James:

I just watched a segment on CNN with you.. I'm a fairly liberal guy.. african amercan.. I'm certain we would not see eye to eye on a lot of things.. but I am bothered by the level of aggressive language and threats against you. It actually made me sad.. I can understand people not understanding.. and even being pissed off.. hell even I was surprized watching you at McCain's rally.. it's not something you see everyday.. BUT.. I don't get why people can't just respectfully disagree with you.. Calling you uncle tom, sambo.. etc.. is just wrong.

    Nancy

Although the verbiage was disturbing." Sir, I'm begging, I'm Begging" Mr Harris has a right to use it. He does not appear to understand that no one has disagreed with his right to speak but that wording was important. He could just as easily said "Senator McCain I am asking you to take it to him. However that would not have gained the notoriety or garnered as much attention as his actual wording did. If you are truly angry the best thing that you can do to hurt James T Harris is to ignore him. Do not listen to his program and drop his ratings. He has already clued us all as to his motives.
"So, to all of you angry Obama supporters out there, I’m begging you, begging you…
    Keep it coming!"

Ignore Him,He cannot stay on the radio with a listening audience of 0

    Andrew

Mr. Harris, I am a black moderate conservative myself. The people attacking you are VERY GOOD at tearing things down. Just look at the black inner cities of most of our major cities. Look at the parade of gunshot victims. The graffitied walls and decay. Look at rappers TEAR DOWN their OWN people with the n-word and the glorification of crime and violence. So you're just another target...

BTW, there's ONE little issue that the Obama cheerleaders DON'T want to discuss right now: ANOTHER thing that they are notorious for TEARING DOWN is people of MIXED RACE. The only reason they have swept this issue under the rug is because Obama has a chance to win. Thats why Obama is always refered to as "black" when he clearly is of mixed origins. But mixed race people have always been TORN DOWN because they are percieved as getting preferential treatment and acceptance from whites. Hale Berry and Derrick Jeter continually are TORN DOWN by resentful blacks. After the election is over, I guess then it'll be okay again to TEAR DOWN mixed race people.

    Dwayne

I have never seen such a discraceful antic in my life, no I don't think you are uncle tom, just a plain discrace.

    Rev. George Brooks

Brother Harris,in addition to disgracing all blacks in America, including Dr. Martin Luther King,Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman and all other blacks of the past (your ancestors too), with your recent acts and abandonment of this young intelligent black, Barack Obama, you are about to hurt WTMJ also. Because my organization, and others as well, are preparing to launch a call for the stations advertisers to pull their advertisements, or face a boycott. And a picket line at WTMJ as well. And I even know whites that are ready to be part of the protest. So you may be "begging" John McCain for a job soon.

    Andrew

You see! HAHA! That guy was turned down for a promotion at his job, and he solved THAT problem by tearing James T. Harris down :)! Maybe its better that he attack Harris then to do what he would normally do to another black male on the street. Hey James, you saved someone from being assaulted in the inner city :)!

Anyway, the Obama supporters have done a great job hiding their NOTORIOUS HATRED of MIXED RACE people until AFTER the election! You wouldn't even know that Obama was half white! Nice job!

    Barb C.

Mr. Harris, you don't deserve this abuse.

I am a PUMA Democrat (now voting Independent); I believe very strongly in the freedom of speech.

I also think these ignorant, small-minded people who are upset with you need to remember that we still have free speech in this country. They also need to remember the axiom, "I may not appreciate what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

Free speech does not only go one way.

You keep speaking your mind, Mr. Harris. Sometimes it might get a little much (such as when you called Sarah Palin "hot" and if I recall correctly, also a "poster child for the NRA (women)"), but I'd rather hear your interesting commentary -- even when I disagree or find it difficult to handle (I'm glad to see men behaving like men, and responding to an attractive woman is fine; however, there's so much more to Gov. Palin than her looks that I just wish you hadn't spent over 1/2 hour on your radio program about them, rather than her policies) -- then here some predigested pablum aimed at pacifying the masses.

You keep telling it like it is, Mr. Harris. And ignore these ignorant cretins.

    John

Did I just wake up in the south? Do all of you out there blaming whites for slavery realize that you (and James) live in Wisconsin? Most of us here have ancestors who fought in the civil war from the north (I have three). They NEVER imposed slavery on anyone. Many other ancestors came to the U.S. AFTER the civil war... just honest, hard working folks. I am fed up with people blaming whites up here for what the south did 150 years ago. Would you prefer that the south had separated? Many up here in the 1860's lost their lives to prevent that. And now you blame their great, great grandchildren?

I support McCain not because of anyone's color, but because I want less government waste and less government intrusion in my finances/taxes.

There were no "haters" that I saw at the Waukesha rally; don't trust the media on that one. I heard more anger towards Barney Frank and the media for overlooking Obama's choice to associate with anyone who could help him politically. That's Chicago politics.

Forget Ayers; instead look at how Obama spent the Annenberg money. I have yet to find any website or news article that praises how education was improved by 50 million Obama spent in Chicago. Education is the key to improving your lives, not tax credits.

Here are Obama's own words for a Chicago Times story on May 3, 2007 regarding pork spending... "My philosophy was that, if money was being distributed, then it would be inappropriate for me to not get my share for my district," ... "Did I think it was the best way to prioritize government spending? No." Obama admits that he was a pork spender? And now he's not?

Thank you James from many of us here in Wisconsin.

    Deb

How much were you paid to do this???? The McWalkingCain Campain must be hiring big time? No way would I have signed up for this one! I don't really care who you vote for---especially since my pick is ahead--but you just looked so completely ridiculous! You truly transformed!!! Did they catch you off guard?? Maybe it's not what you said, but rather how you said it! Did you have to the 'begging' thing?? That just didn't go over well. Have you looked at yourself on that clip? If you take a close look, I think you would be better able to understand the volumes of hate mail you're getting. Dude--FOR REAL--RIDICULOUS! Yeah, when I replay the clip, I really believe there is something deeply wrong. My hang up with the Republican Party is not really disagreement with their philosophy. I simply don't see much diversity within the party, and I just don't understand how black people buy into it, or where you really fit. Oh well, they got you--and that's a start! The next time you take the mic at a McCain-Palin rally, have something intelligent planned to say. "TAKE IT TO 'EM"??? EEEWWWW!!!! That was bad....Next time, tell them you wont do it without a teleprompter or something, so you don't sound like that DUMBY PALIN! That chick has the worst grammar!!! What's up with that???
