Actually, JFK spoke outside at the Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles in July 1960.

My bad! Thanks Dana, I think I knew that... I think I even blogged on it...Thanks for the heads up.

Well I hope no one expected him in detail to lay out his plans in that speech. Actually I think this election is proving the laziness of our culture. All you have to do is go to the man's website to find detailed information on his positions. But no in this age where we want our information fed and even digested for us, we are too lazy to think on our own. People listen to the Limbaugh, Beck, and even slanted coverage from bloggers. This was a coronation, that was all it was meant to be. Does it really need to be stated ad nauseam that Obama is a rock star and that he is nothing more than a celebrity? For goodness sakes Arnold is a governor and people voted for him simply because it would be cool. I didn't hear any Republicans complaining about that. American's want somebody to inspire confidence that things are going to get better. Personally I don't feel that with McCain but with Obama I see and feel a ray of hope. There's that word again.

Fired Up, I beg to differ. I am a conservative, and I thought Arnold was a truly ridiculous choice for Governor of CA. But then, it was Californians who elected him, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised!
