Obama was asked who on the U.S. Supreme Court he would have never nominated. His reply: Clarence Thomas.

He could have named Scalia. He could have called out Roberts. But, NO! He dissed the only American of African descent on the Court... out of ideology!

Funny how the anti-Quota right wingers studiously ignore that Clarence Thomas was a quota pick. Thurgood Marshall steps down and Bush I nominates a circuit court judge whose only strong qualifications were skin color and conservative ideology (is Scalia this guy's puppetmaster or what? I consider myself a independent conservative, but even I have grown to become very proud of Obama and how far he has come. Even his wife has proven to be a very intelligent and a real woman who handles herself with class. I am PROUD as an African American woman when I see these two.
