In an effort to racially diversify the University of Wisconsin system, the UW Board of Regents recently voted unanimously to abandon merit and embrace chance! They dumped discipline for desire. They jettisoned the protestant work ethic to cuddle with the culture of inclusiveness.
According to The Spectator, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s student newspaper, “UW System administrators and admissions officials say the policy is not ‘race-based,’ but rather a ‘holistic’ approach that would expand on a variety of factors, including economic status, extra-curricular activities and other personal experiences.”
In other words, “holistic” means no academic standards. Nice. That’s sure to cure Wisconsin’s brain drain to other states.
